My Story
Hi, I'm Margie. I'm a communications and business operations leader who builds aligned, engaged organizations from the ground up, whether that means standing up a comms function, untangling a budget and vendor list, or designing the onboarding curriculum a whole company runs on.
My path into communications started in college at Northeastern Illinois University, where I volunteered across Chicago and at El Batey in Humboldt Park while also writing for the campus magazine. That work opened the door to volunteering on a separate newspaper in Humboldt Park, plus a few guest contributions to a newspaper in Puerto Rico. That's where the comms journey really began.
As Head of Marketing, Operations & Communications at iFluence Marketing, I lead strategy across six sister companies in the Mayo Global portfolio: Valor Global (business process outsourcing), GMI (cybersecurity & IT), The TouchPoint Solution (health technology), Blue Sky Vantage (government consulting), Mayo Family Foundation (nonprofit), and Sunny Day Sports. My work spans executive messaging and employee engagement as much as it does budgeting, billing, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
That range isn't new. Earlier in my career I managed IT infrastructure and security budgets across multiple locations, ran a multi-site office with a staff of 80+, built sales and onboarding training curricula, and recruited and hired at scale through structured, multi-round interview processes. I've built comms functions from scratch and operations systems from scratch. The muscle is the same either way.
I bring an AI-fluent, people-first approach to the work. I use tools like Claude and ChatGPT daily to move faster without cutting corners, always with careful human review before anything goes out the door.
Outside of work, I serve on my HOA board in Kenosha, WI, supporting governance, financial planning, and vendor coordination for a 44-unit community, and co-leading communications through a recent property management transition. I also served on the Member Board of the American Marketing Association's Chicago chapter in 2025.

Head of Marketing, Operations & Communications
iFluence Marketing (Mayo Global Portfolio)
- Serve as strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership across a six-company portfolio (Valor Global, GMI, The TouchPoint Solution, Blue Sky Vantage, Mayo Family Foundation, and Sunny Day Sports) spanning BPO, cybersecurity, healthcare tech, government consulting, nonprofit, and sports sectors.
- Grew iFluence Marketing from a single B2B client to a nine-client portfolio (B2B, D2C, and nonprofit) within 18 months.
- Manage budgeting, billing, payroll coordination, vendor management, and contract negotiation across the portfolio, partnering with accounting and leadership to ensure financial accuracy.
- Built the communications and operations function from the ground up, including team structure, operating rhythms, and editorial processes, reducing new-hire ramp time by 30% across a distributed workforce.
- Draft and produce executive messaging, change communications, and virtual all-hands events for high-visibility, sensitive, and large-scale internal moments.
- Design culture and employee engagement programs, including recognition, culture spotlights, and wellness campaigns, that reinforce belonging across geographically distributed teams.
- Implement CRM and AI automation systems (HubSpot, GoHighLevel, ClickUp, Power BI) to improve scalability and reporting across all portfolio companies.
- Manage the team responsible for website creation, content, and revisions across the portfolio, including GMI, Sunny Day Sports, Blue Sky Vantage, iFluence Marketing, Mayo Family Foundation, Mayo Global, and VickiMayo.com, owning approvals and oversight.
- Manage award and recognition applications across the portfolio and senior leadership, spanning Valor Global since 2021, Mayo Family Foundation and GMI since 2023, and most of TouchPoint Solution's since 2023, paused in 2025.
Valor Global: Demand Generation
- Launched Valor Global's HubSpot CRM in 48 hours, then built collateral and launched a full campaign 72 hours later, scaling the resulting pipeline to $80M in tracked opportunity value within six months; one sales-qualified lead from that pipeline closed for $857,000 on a three-year contract in under four months.
- Pitched, then built and launched a website chatbot handling job and HR questions, service inquiries, and booking qualified prospects directly with the sales team based on visitor interest; generated 150 leads in its first month.
- Moved the sales team's CRM from HubSpot to GoHighLevel after a budget reduction, maintaining pipeline continuity through the transition.
- Built out an Employee Experience program from an initial framework into a full program across all three company geographies: the U.S., Costa Rica, and the Philippines.
- Managed and expanded the volunteer program and Helping Hands program, building awareness among employees and the public.
- Managed the design and installation of wall graphics for two new Philippines offices, three Costa Rica sites, and two U.S. sites, overseeing the design team, coordinating with on-site builders, and managing vendor contracts for purchase and installation.
- Produced and hosted Valor Global's monthly, two-hour all-hands meeting for more than three years, running a week-long production cycle with a designer on collateral and a team member on the opening music and photo recap, then leading the live session and coordinating team updates and slide content.
- Supported RFP responses that helped Valor Global win multiple new clients through competitive bids.
GMI: Partner & Demand Campaigns
- Managed GMI's HubSpot CRM and built a partner campaign with a telecommunications client that generated more than 120 marketing-qualified leads for the sales team.
- Followed with monthly campaigns that generated 43 additional sales-qualified leads, shortening the timeline from proposal to close and opening new nurture opportunities with existing and new business.
- Built a full sales enablement suite (case study, one-pager, selling guide, deck, and playbook) for GMI's product SKU lineup within the first year of supporting GMI Marketing, then housed every asset in HubSpot for the sales team.
- Led the creation of a new GMI corporate website alongside ongoing content revisions to the existing site, plus building and maintaining GMI's tidal.io site.
- Supported RFP responses that helped GMI win competitive bids for new business.
TouchPoint Solution: Content & Case Studies
- Wrote blogs and case studies for TouchPoint Solution that generated direct revenue on first dissemination through the email marketing vendor, averaging $2,000–$4,000 per blog with top performers reaching $8,000–$12,000.
- Built a new evidence-based case study methodology pairing high-ROI blogs with customer proof points. A May 2026 campaign using this methodology generated $7,168 in tracked revenue, compared to $274 from a comparable campaign under the old format.
- Produced six weeks of AI-generated social content for TouchPoint Solution, primarily the TouchPoints device line plus Thodian, images and video built with Canva Magic Media, Claude, and ChatGPT, including AI-generated music for the posts and reels.
Mayo Family Foundation: Programs & Reporting
- Created Mayo Family Foundation's first-ever annual report and every annual report published since.
- Created, ran, and managed Mayo Family Foundation's first and only grant program to date.
